One of the paintings by Summer 2011 na Summer 2012 Teaching Assistant Tristan Barlow has been selected for the prestigious John Moores Painting Prize Exhibition this year.

The John Moores Painting Prize is delivered in partnership with the John Moores Liverpool Exhibition Trust and is open to all painters in the UK. The 54 artists shortlisted for the exhibition have been selected anonymously by an independent jury.

The exhibition is part of Liverpool Biennial 2016, a festival of newly commissioned contemporary art from around the world and opens in July. There will be a private view on July 7th, in Liverpool.

Tristan is an American artist who assisted Creative Director Carole Robb during the programs in 2011 (Florence) and in 2012 (Rome.) before taking his Masters Degree in Fine Art at the Slade School of Fine Art, London in 2015.

Tristan has another reason to celebrate; He has just got married and (at time of writing) is currently hiking in Gotland – the Island Ingmar Bergman lived on and made some of his films.

Congratulations Tristan!
