Covid-19 Safety

What Covid-19 safety precautions are being taken?

We’re all learning to live with the Covid virus. The safety of our students is our number one priority and we have introduced a range of new safety procedures as a result of the Covid outbreak. We’re an art program that works on-site in Rome in outdoor locations, so ventilation or social distancing isn’t a problem. Our apartments are spacious, well-ventilated with large windows in each common area, and deep cleaned twice weekly. Rome has great summer weather so it’s an outdoor culture with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and pizza bars with outdoor terraces and seating.

Do you require proof of Covid-19 vaccination?

Yes, all faculty and students participating in the program are required to provide proof of full vaccination for Covid-19, prior to arrival and participation in the program. Please provide a photo / copy of your vaccine card and/or a letter from your vaccine provider.

I’m participating in the Summer Program! When should I purchase my plane ticket to Rome?

If you will be participating in our Summer Program, we suggest a convenient time to purchase your plane ticket is approximately 1 month before departure. Many airlines have accommodations for unexpected Covid-19- related travel changes, so we recommend that you review the policies of the airlines that you’re considering to make sure that the one you choose to  book with has a policy that works for you.

What if I get Covid while I am studying in Rome?

Should you test positive for Covid-19 while studying with RAP, you must quarantine for the recommended 5 days. You will have the option of spending your quarantine in separate RAP housing or in a hotel of your choice. (Please note that you are responsible for quarantine housing fees.) RAP will check in daily and provide assignments that you may complete in your room.
