Course Credits

Interested in receiving course credit for your time in Rome? Many of RAP’s undergraduate/graduate students from the US are eligible to receive transfer credits from their Home School.

Credits are issued from your Home School and eligibility should be arranged and confirmed by contacting your department chair or study abroad contact at your Home School.

Course Transfer Credit Applications Guide

  1. You must first apply and be offered a place on Rome Art Program (RAP), confirm acceptance of RAP session, and pay course deposit.
  2. When your deposit is paid, contact your Home School and inform them that you’re applying for RAP course credits. Tell them which RAP course(s) that you want credit for (i.e. Drawing, Painting, Art History)
  3. Provide RAP with an administrator email address at your Home School and RAP will send a copy of our syllabus directly to them for review.
  4. After the RAP syllabus has been reviewed by your Home School, confirm with them, how many course credits you can expect to receive for your RAP course.
  5. Tell your Home School that they also have to inform RAP of the number of credits you will receive for your RAP course.
  6. RAP does not award credits directly. We send our evaluations to your Home School and they award you the credits. Your Home School will charge you for these credits, not RAP.
  7. RAP charges a one-time $95 processing fee for course credit applications. This fee must be paid to RAP before RAP sends your evaluations to the Home School.
  8. When the Home School requests RAP evaluations, RAP will email these to your Home School within 10 days after the student completes their study in Rome
